The Players cast has been on a whirlwind promotional tour for their filmThe year 2012 will open with a bang, with the high octane Viacom18 and Burmawala Brothers film Players releasing today. Filmed across India, New Zealand and Russia, the action-packed thriller stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya. A commercial film with the perfect mix of action, comedy, drama and oodles of glamour, Players is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood hit The Italian Job.
Talking about their film, director duo Abbas-Mustan tell BT, "While we have retained the flavour of the original film, not everything is the same. People who have seen the original will find our film different. We have added lots of twists and turns and one can't predict what happens next."
The marketing team has pulled out all stops to promote the film; first by flagging it off with a never-seen-before live action and music launch show, followed by an orchestrated Metro Heist in Delhi. The Players cast has travelled to 10 cities to promote the film, and if that isn't all, they've also walked the Gold Carpet at a special fan screening in Dubai!
