Vijay is currently busy shooting for his forthcoming film Velayudham. The film is the remake of Telugu film Azad which was released in the year 2000.
The shooting of Velayudham happened yesterday at Binny Company near Meenambakkam. Vijay is seen wearing Red Shirt and Blue Jeans on the location. The shooting spot was crowed by Jain College Students who tried to have a glance of their favourite star shooting.
Bubbly beauty Genelia and milky beauty Hansika Motwani are romancing Vijay in this film. The characters of the female leads will be quite opposite to their earlier roles as Genelia will be portraying the role of a journalist while Hansika will be seen in complete traditional outfits in majority portions of the film. Producer Bellamkonda Suresh is known for remaking the hit films from other languages to Telugu through his Sai Ganesh Productions. The latest buzz in the industry is that Suresh has bought the remake rights of the latest Kollywood release of Vijay and Asin starrer Kavalan.
The film Kaavalan itself is the remake of Malayalam film titled Bodyguard which has Dileep and Nayantara in the lead roles. Both the versions are directed by Siddique. While the Malayalam version remained as a blockbuster hit, the Tamil version with Vijay too, has received good talk by running successfully in theaters.

KO director KV Anand always tries to be unique in each and every aspect. He planned something different for the audio launch of KO.
The audio lunch of KO is going to take place on January 19th, 2011 at Image Auditorium, MRC Nagar in Chennai. The audio launch invite looks completely new and looks similar to a government file where we can see a white strip tied around it with a sticker named Confidential sticked on it. The file includes the names and photos of the lead stars like Jeeva, Karthika and Piaa along with the other cast and crew.
Inside the file one can find a FIR stating “The suspects mentioned are accused of breaking the Labour Law as per the act of 2010 by working 24/7 for the shoot of this film. By working continuously for KO, they even forgot to spend quality time with their family”.
On January 17th single track of KO starting with the lyrics Ennamo Yeadho was aired by all the FM’s, which received a positive response. Harris Jayraj has given outstanding music for the film.

Nani starrer Ala Modalaindi has completed its censor formalities and has received clean U from the Censor Board. Ala Modalaindi is gearing up for its release on 21st January. The film is touted as a clean romantic youthful love entertainer.
Made by a debutant lady director Nandini Reddy and produced by K.L. Dhamodhar Rao under the banner Sri Ranjith Movies, a new lady Nitya Menon is playing the female lead. The film also has Sneha Ullal and Kirti Kharbanda (Boni fame) in key roles. Kalyani Malik has scored the music for the film.

Ram Gopal Varma’s forthcoming film Katha-Screenplay-Darsakathvam-Appalraju is slated for a release on 4th February. KSD Appalraju is currently progressing its post-production works at brisk pace. The movie is touted as a comedy entertainer on the backdrop of film industry with Sunil, Swathi and Sakshi Gulati playing the central roles.
The music of KSDA was scored by Koti and the album will hit the stores prior 10 days of the film’s release. Cinematography is handled by Sudhakar Yakkanti. STORY
Rishi(RaviTeja) an intelligence bureau inspector ordered by his senior official(Naga Babu) goes to Hyderabad from delhi as part of an intelligence mission, and establish himself as a lecture in a college headed by Shankar Anna(Kota Srinivasa Rao) an associate who work for Kittu Bhai(Prakash Raj) a mafia don and a most wanted by Intelligence bureau. You got to watch on the silver screen, how Rishi works to catch hold Kittu Bhai and how he finds his love interest in the process.
Artist Performance
Ravi Teja
Ravi Teja’s strength is his impulsiveness in action (behavioral action without any drama) and exceptional dialogue delivery with a tinge of accent, Ravi Teja displays an unparalleled command over each and every aspect of his authoritative presence on the screen. Be it Comedy or dances or fights, he excels exuberantly and how! His body language is marvelous and suits the character.
Richa: She is cute and suited the role; she is pretty hot in Gadithalupulu song, she is a treat to watch. The characterization of the heroine should have been bubblier. But the director had chosen her character to be a traditional girl with subdued emotions.
Deeksha: Deeksha is charismatic in looks department and is adequate in histrionics aspect. Her role is limited in this film.
Other Actors:
Brahmaji’s character as a senior to RaviTeja is entertaining. Prakash Raj doesn’t have much footage, Kota Srinivasa Rao is remarkable as the Shankar Anna, but we can not find anything new in Prakash Raj and Kota characterization as we saw him in similar roles may times earlier. Naga Babu, Chandra Mohan, Sunil, Supreet, Ajay are satisfactory.

Story-Dialogues-Direction:
Preferring a director whose only film ‘Shock’ is a debacle seems to be rather a risky decision. But, the director Harish Shankar does a decent job in this film. By keeping the image and body language of Ravi Teja in mind, he narrated the entire film in lighter vein mode, He has good flair for conceiving comedy scenes. The story is a routine and predictable one. Screenplay is shabby in the second half.
Music: Background music by Thaman is Ok. Songs are also good. Two songs Gadithalupula and Dhinakku Dhin songs are good on screen.
Other Departments: Cinematography C Ram Prasad is impressive. Artwork by Brahma Kadali is good. Editing by Goutham Raju is adequate. Stunts by Ram-Laxman are good in patches. Production values of Yellow Flowers are of good standards.
Analysis:
Ravi Teja is the only aspect to watch Mirapakaay, It doesn’t offer anything new, a simple Police catching thief, How? Is the story. Mirapakaay have lots of action mixed comedy as we find in all recent movies of Ravi Teja. Watch it for Ravi Teja.

I took some advice from my brother to act in this film. I could have done the police officer role with ease if it had been a single role but I have donned the role of a pick pocket called Rocket Raja. Because of this I met some real pick pockets.

It’s no secret that “No One Killed Jessica” is inspired by the murder of Jessica Lall but the producers have kept the names fictional barring the model to avoid any kind of legal trouble.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by UTV Motion Picures, the film starring Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji is releasing Friday.
The initial plan was to go whole hog and recreate the entire case in all its details, including the characters with their real names. In fact, say sources, director Rajkumar Gupta wanted to offer Shayan Munshi, the prime witness in the murder that took place in 1999, the chance to play himself.
However, according to legal advice, the original spelt trouble. So all the names of the main dramatis personae, including prime accused Manu Sharma and the key witnesses have been changed, to avoid legal and financial troubles.
When questioned about it, Gupta said: “You will have to see the film to see why we have done what we have with the characters. Beyond that I don’t want to comment on the names of the characters.”
Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV is more forthright about the hasty and hushed changes made to camouflage the real-life characters in “No One Killed Jessica”.
“The film is Rajkumar Gupta’s creative interpretation of Sabrina’s journey, her trials, tribulations and finally vindication after Jessica’s demise. So, we felt Jessica’s was the only character that needed to be specifically indentifiable,” said Kapoor.
A source sheds more light on the matter.
“The film decided to backtrack on real names when eyewitnesses and other people associated with the Jessica Lal case began to make urgent and anxious inquiries about the film. The characters are still easily identifiable. Only their names have been disguised,” a source said.
“In our country any film based on real incidents immediately invites legal and financial trouble. The makers of ‘No One Killed Jessica’ didn’t want to be stuck in dozens of legal snags and moral debates. That’s why all the names have been changed.”

Enquiries reveal that this will not be a remake of the Rajini-starrer but the director has a fresh script for which the said title would be more apt.

The year 2011 brings one more star’s son to the big screens. Aadi, son of Dialogue King and TV host Saikumar will make his debut with the film titled Prema Kavali. A new lady, Isha Chawla is playing the leading lady in the film and Dev Gill will be seen in a negative lead role.
Directed by K Vijayabhaskar and produced by K Achi Reddy on the banner of Max India Productions, the film is nearing completion and is slated for a release in February. Meanwhile, the audio will be launched on 9th January.
Speaking about the film status, Producer says, “The talkie part of the film is almost complete and we are planning to shoot the songs in Europe and Dubai choreographed by Nobel and Richards, in January. Anup Rubens has composed six different tunes in the film.”
It is known that Naga Chaitanya is currently doing a film with director Sukumar under the banner Geeta Arts. Bunny Vasu is producing this youthful love story. The movie which was supposed to release in the month of December was initially postponed to January but now, it was postponed again to March. The postponement is due to the strike in Tollywood.
Talking about the release date Naga Chaitanya says, “The film was initially supposed to release in December. But, due to some date issues and technical problems, it got postponed. Now, we are planning to release it in March.”
