Actress Preity Zinta, who is enjoying her holiday in Europe, has denied reports of she replacing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for Raj Kumar Santoshi’s ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. Preity is visibly upset with such news doing the rounds. She wants people, who write such things to check with her before publishing. She did put a full stop to the news by saying that such baseless reports should not be encouraged.
On the other hand the same is with Katrina, who clarified that she is not a part of Dhoom 3, which would have seen the actress pairing with Aamir Khan for the first time.
YRF too made it clear that Katrina is preparing for her role in EK Tha Tiger while the female lead in Dhoom 3 is still in search mode and as when they find one, they will make it public.
In the meantime, Katrina also suggested that she has got enough work for this year. The actress has wrapped up Meri Brother Ki Dulhan and will participate in Ek Tha Tiger and an untitled film with SRK. All the three film are being produced by YRF.
Actor Imran Khan is not just smitten by the beauty of Katrina Kaif, but by her hardwork and dedication too, after working with her in “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”. “I think this film will do very good things for her. We have often heard that she is just a pretty face and she can’t act. But with this film, Katrina is going to prove all of them wrong,” Imran told.
“Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” is a romantic comedy from the Yash Raj Films stable, and Imran says he enjoyed working on it.
“It was fun working with Katrina. I was very impressed with her. She is an incredibly hard working girl. For someone who hasn’t known the language (Hindi), the way she has worked on that and the way she delivers her dialogues now is incredible,” Imran said.

Mr. Deepak Jalan, Managing Director, Linc Pen & Plastics Ltd, while speaking on the occasion, commented, “The decision to take Katrina as Uni-ball brand ambassador is based on the fact that she has a great connect with the urban youth of our country, which is basically where our brand focus is. For a pen that is largely aimed at college students and young working professionals, Katrina will definitely infuse fresh energy and vivaciousness.”
And the film she’s banking on the most is director Prakash Jha’s Satsang, which will have her playing a character seeking spiritual rejuvenation in India. She has already billed it as “the most challenging role of my career.”
Then she would also be seen doing comedy with Abhishek Bachchan in director Rajkumar Santoshi’s next film. It was Santoshi who brought out Kat’s comic side in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Now, he’s taking it further in the film with Abhi.
This apart, Kat is also looking forward to two important releases: Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with Hrithik Roshan and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran Khan.
On her wish-list is a film with Aamir Khan. If that indeed happens, 2011 would be an ideal year for Katrina.
We hear that Katrina will enter the house along with director Farah Khan.
Meanwhile, the girls in the house have been instructed about putting up dance performances to the throbbing beats of ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. Katrina and Farah will judge the performances and also help the participants with some moves.
Since the aim is to promote Tees Maar Khan, they will also talk about the film.
We wonder if Salman Khan, the show’s host will join Katrina in the house. After all, he joined her in the song Wallah-re-wallah in the film.
Press Meet of Katrina Kaif for Tees Maar Khan: It was chance to state 'Welcome' to that winsome jodi. Khiladi Kumar and Katrina Kaif, that is. The pair was in town to support Farah Khan's "Tees Maar Khan". The Bollywood biggies stopped at a lounge rod for the press gathering on Saturday and the people was energetic to get a piece of them.
When matters got crazy, Akshay took matters under control reporting, "Let the press meeting be over. We will then make time for photographers. " A murmur of a thank you later, Katrina was the first to encounter an issue.
Asked to give a peek into her character, the actor said, "If you see the recent promos, then you'll see that my character is much more than Sheila."
A mere mention of Sheila and Katrina was given her next question, the very fact that her "Sheila ki jawani" reminds one of Shakira. Before Katrina could answer that one, Akki congratulated the journo for having compared the two and not drawing parallels between "Sheila" and "Munni badnaam hui". Katrina answered, "This is a comparison I can only dream of. I consider it a huge achievement. But the credit goes to Farah for having given me steps that would suit me." She reminisced, "It was a challenge for me. This was my second song with Farah post-"Just chill". Her assistant, Geeta, taught me the steps as it was not possible for Farah to be with me during the practice sessions. I was literally shaking thinking whether or not I'd be able to meet her expectations. But when she saw me doing the steps, she simply praised me."
Akshay being synonymous with stunts, he was asked what kind of daredevil acts he carried out this time around. The actor referred to one of his dialogues where he is asked what should be done with a mob chasing him. "I say, 'Aise waqt pe sirf ek hi kaam karna chahiye... bhago.' So, there are no stunts here. Main sirf bhagta hoon (I just keep running)," he answered tongue firmly in cheek. The actor showed a presence of wit even when asked whether the pressure was on him to deliver because Farah had earlier delivered a hit with SRK. Akshay went on to say, "Farah is very bossy. Lots of men are scared of her. As far as pressure is concerned, it is not on me but on her." With fearless being a term associated with the film, one wanted to know how fearless he was to survive in Bollywood. The actor joked, "Fearless and shameless, you mean? Well, I've been here 22 years now. I hope to survive a few more years." And when it comes to hits, the actor clarified that he is not banking on his earlier hits with Katrina to sail them through this film. "My lady, Katrina, has put in a lot of effort in this film," he said, while Katrina added, "We have worked the hardest on this film."
So films apart would she be interested in television? To this, she remarked, "I would be, as soon as an English speaking show is offered to me." So she is yet to master Hindi, retorted one. Katrina Kaif's fans shouts 'We Love You Sheila': While promoting her film Tees Maar Khan in Delhi, Katrina Kaif was greeted with shouts of “we love you, Sheila” from her male fans.
Katrina and director Farah Khan were at the DLF Promenade Mall on Tuesday to inaugurate the Christmas Cheer Celebrations and also promote Tees Maar Khan by distributing the audio CDs of the film among the fans.
And the fans did leave Kat blushing with their loud shouts of “we love you Sheila”.
“It's always wonderful to come to Delhi. I love coming here and I think it is one of the best places in the world,” Katrina said. She was dressed casually in a white top and black jeans.
Katrina blew a flying kiss to a 40-foot-tall Xmas tree in the mall and the tree lit bright at the very moment she blew the kiss.
The Bollywood beauty even grooved to the beats of ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ with a few selected fans. Farah and Kat also gave away free CDs of TMK to exuberant fans.
Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif 'jodi' now overexposed?: There was a time when a complaint was making rounds that Akshay-Katrina 'jodi' had been overexposed, case in point being 'Singh Is Kinng', 'Welcome' and 'Namastey London', all of which had come in quick succession. Later, even though the pair was seen only sparsely in films like 'De Dana Dan' and 'Blue', it was being stated in the industry circles that the hit couple would be doing many more movies together.
However, this didn't quite happen as Akshay and Katrina didn't sign any new movies thereafter. The only film which would now bring them back in front of audience is 'Tees Maar Khan' and that would be more than a year after 'De Dana Dan'.
