Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have finally put all the speculation about their break-up at rest by declaring their marriage. The couple is keen to tie the knot by next year. Marriage was always in their mind but they did not go for it due to their respective careers but not the duo has seen that marriage will not hamper their career and hence they are eager to walk down the aisle.
"Saif is absolutely comfortable with Kareena's family. Kareena has also finally found a comfort level with Saif's children. This was the biggest stumbling block in the marriage," says a source.
Says Kareena's close friend, "Saif has been keen to marry Bebo for ages now. He wanted to make it official soon after he met and fell in love with her. But the couple agreed that such an early marriage would affect her career negatively. But Kareena is now at a stage where her marital status would make no difference to her career."
There has been no rift between Saif and Bebo and the wrong rumor has hurt both of them. Says Kareena's close friend, "Bebo told us that there can never be any issues between them because they are devoted to building a life together. Whether people like it or not, Bebo and Saif are in this relationship for keeps."
Well, another big fat Bollywood wedding is coming up.
Once Upon A Time in Mumbai is a film inspired by the controversial life of Dawood Ibrahim. Ekta Kapoor has found her Dawood, in Akshay Kumar, but is now faced with the challenge of finding an actress, for the character Mandakini, who was allegedly involved with Dawood.
In part one of Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, Amy Kingston’s resemblance to Mandakini, won her the role, as a one-night partner of Dawood, played by Emraan Hashmi.
A source close to the film tells us, “The second part of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai is going to be on a much bigger canvas and hence Balaji is looking at a top actress to play the female lead. It would be either Kareena or Vidya.
Mandakini’s character needs an actress who can emote very strongly. Kareena and Vidya best fit the bill.”
Bebo calling from customs authorities: Actress
Kareena Kapoor was summoned by the customs authorities on Tuesday after she left her baggage behind the airport when she returned from London. Since the baggage's take long to reach the conveyers belt, Kareena left the airport asking her staff to collect it on her behalf.
However, soon after she reached home she got a call from the airport superintendent Atul Sharma asking her to collect her baggage personally. The actress accompanied with boyfriend
Saif Ali Khan had to return back to the airport to collect the baggage.
Actors like
Shahrukh Khan and
Salman Khan never wait at the airport to college their baggage, while some of them wait for all the formalities to get over. So why was it that Kareena was summoned by the customs authorities?
Saif and Kareena at 'Koffee with Karan': It was time for some frank speak on
Koffee With Karan as
Saif Ali Khan and
Kareena Kapoor mesmerised the immaculate host
Karan Johar with their candid chat.
The show that will be aired at 9 p.m. on Star World tonight is certainly one of the best ever that KJo has recorded and it has so many USPs that you will definitely not want to change the channel.
While Kareena floors everyone with her sex appeal and charm, Chhote Nawab Saif with his suaveness and boldness to share even intimate information about his personal life will wow you. Even KJo was very surprised how Saif was extremely vocal and frank while talking about his last marriage with Amrita Singh and his relationship with his two children. Kareena was picture perfect and looked like a million bucks.
She beat Saif hands down on a compatibilty test that Karan had devised for them. So, do we think that Kareena knows Saif better? Hmmm... Well, we will certainly not let a game decide that as their sizzling chemistry is too sparkling to go unnoticed. The romantic spark that you have seen between them on the silver screen manifolds itself in Koffee With Karan and we are certainly not complaining. Perfectly complimenting each other even in their dressing, they are a treat for the eyes and radiate something that most Bollywood couples fail to emit - love. Bollywood's hot couple even told on the show that they have mutually agreed to not do any kissing scenes.
Bebo, who in the past has been very open to kissing her co stars (like we very recently witnessed in her films Kambakht Ishq and 3 Idiots), will not be seen lip-locking with any actor other than the love of her life, Saifu. Saif, too, endorsed this view. Saifeena is surely getting more committed by the day.
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor makes an epic love story: The director of films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black and
Guzaarish is now planning to revive his once-shelved film which will star Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently admitted that he makes films, not money, so reviving an old film requires courage. If the recent buzz is to be believed than the director has started thinking again about his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani with Salman and Kareena. The movie was planned in the year 2003 and Sanjay was eager to have Aishwarya Rai in the lead role of Mastani opposite Salman. But because of the Salman and Aishwarya break-up, the director abandoned the thought of making the film with the couple.
Later he went on to make other films but he couldn’t actually part with Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay even thought of Kareena at that time for the role but nothing could materialize. Afterwards, Bajirao Mastani was tagged as a jinxed film.
The film narrates the love story of Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani, who was a Muslim. Their relationship was also the reason of much rift in the orthodox Marathi society of that time and led to a major crisis within the royal Peshwa family. Mastani was a brave lady; she was a skilled horse-rider and used to go to the battlefield with her valiant husband.
With a skilled director like Sanjay, we can expect Bajirao Mastani to be another grandiose, epic film.
Kareena Kapoor is turn to producer?: She comes from a family which has been in the business of making film for close to 75 years now. However, Kareena Kapoor doesn't have any such plans, well at least in near future, as she wants to totally concentrate on her acting assignments.
"No ways, I have no intent to turn producer. That's like getting into an different world altogether and I am certainly not on for that," laughs Kareena, "I am here just to act. Pehle woh toh kar loon!"
With hubby Saif pretty much managing both the worlds for his next and she being a supporting hand there as well, guess Kareena doesn't need to delve into her own production plans anyways. However, given the fact that she has been a leading lady for a decade now, isn't production the next logical step for her?
"When there are so many exciting assignments for me as an actor, why should I be dvelving into anything different right now," reasons Kareena, "I just have to keep moving on."
No wonder, all her concentration is on giving a go-ahead to numerous films left, right and centre. While she kick starts the shooting of her
Imran Khan starrer later this month, next year would also see her flagging a film each with
Aamir Khan and
Salman Khan.
