It looks like Rajini’s full concentration is on his next project Rana. Well known fact is that Rajini never failed to keep up his word. He had promised his fans a few days through a letter stating that he would return to their love by entertaining them more and more. By sticking to his promise the actor is leaving no stone unturned to ensure his promise. Even though he is taking rest in Singapore Rajini is making sure that everything goes well with Rana, which is dream project. He is in talks on phone with director KS Ravi Kumar and Lyricist Vairamuthu to known each and every happening of the film pre production works.
Rajini very recently have given a call to his heroine Deepika Padukone and has informed her that the movie will move on floors in the month of September. The actress is elated to receive a call from Superstar and she promised Rajini that she would give her fullest support to the film.
Now it can be confirmed that Rajini will be joining the sets of Rana in September.
‘Wake Up Sid’ director Ayaan Mukherjee wanted to cast Deepika Padukone in his second directorial project as Ranbir Kapoor the lead hero but the actor straightway refused to share screen space with his ex-flame.
While Deepika Padukone in an interview said that she is open to work with Ranbir but it is Ranbir who feels discomfort acting alongside with his ex.
In the film, the lead actress’s character resemblance to Deepika in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and so the director was keen to have her on board.
Says Mukherji, "It is not true. Speculation is pointless right now because the truth is that I am still in the process of writing the script of my film.
Only when the script is finalised, will we decide who suits the part best, and then approach that actress with an offer."
A source close to Ranbir says, "Ayaan is still working on the script so the heroine has not even been discussed as yet. Ranbir has asked him for a narration."

But don’t think that Deepika will follow the likes of Munni and Sheila! For, her song will be very hatke that is quite contemporary and extremely urban.
The song is remixed by Pritam and they will shoot the song in the coming week.
Expected to release on April 22, ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ also features Telugu star Rana Daggubatti.
