In STAR TREK (2009), it was Eric Bana who played the villain and now returning director J.J. Abrams has made his choice for the next actor to play the new villain in STAR TREK 2. He's none others than Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro (THE WOLFMAN, TRAFFIC). No formal offer has been made yet to the actor, even though Paramount might issue the offer as early as this weekend.
As of now, the new villain who's going to appear in STAR TREK 2 remains in tight secret.
STAR TREK 2 is expected to hit theaters next year.
