After their outstanding chemistry received rave reviews in Vishal Bharadwaj's Maqbool and Mira Nair's Namesake the duo of Irrfan Khan and Tabu were never seen together in any other films. The reasons attached to it were the alleged link-up from sections of media [which both the actors denied] apart from the actors denying the perfect script for them to enact in.

Now, both will be seen together in internationally acclaimed filmmaker/Oscar winner, Ang Lee's film, Life of Pi. The film sees 17-year-old Suraj Sharma, a New Delhi student with no previous acting experience essaying the role of Pi. Incidentally Tabu and Irrfan have done cross border films, so it was easier for Lee to rope them in.

Life of Pi is a based on a fantasy adventure novel written by Yann Martel. The characters of Irrfan and Tabu are kept under wraps. The film is scheduled for a December 14th release next year.

So it's a long wait for fans of Tabu and Irrfan.
